Laila Cake Smash Boxing Theme Baby Photography – Sydney Customised One Year Photo Shoot

Cake Smash – One of the most important milestones we photograph in our studio.

I often customise the setup based on each family’s preference.

This particular photoshoot was quite special as I photographed Baby Koobie this time last year in his newborn session with a boxing glove. Mom was returning to us for a boxing theme cake smash. I’m super excited seeing babies coming back. Mamma and I worked out the colour scheme and she ordered the small gloves and shorts from overseas. I made the cake for the first time (was a steep learning curve but I was happy with how it turned out).

I wanted to share with you 6 must have photos in a cake smash photo shoot.

1⃣️ Before the baby starts, shoot an entire setup.

2⃣️ Baby next to the cake, before we make a mess

3⃣️ We (as adults) cut the cake open and get the baby to interact with the cake

4⃣️ Close ups of messy face, hands and feet

5⃣️ Lay down the baby as a KO shot

6⃣️ Messy cake on its own
